Tess brings a love of food and a desire to help others to the 25N community—but she is mostly known as the founder of Geneva’s Think Tank @25N!
Tess began her relationship with 25N as one of the original community managers at our Geneva location. Now, she serves as our Brand Ambassador, educating the public about coworking and, specifically, the potential for growth through community-oriented workspaces. Inspired by her love of entrepreneurship and the power of networking, she launched Think Tank @25N in 2015.
Think Tank is an incredibly supportive, yet challenging public workshop that uses a diverse group of entrepreneurs, investors, and experienced business leaders to boldly dissect a specific barrier faced by a local independent professional in the “Spotlight Seat.”
Working off of a large-scale dry erase wall, the group explores challenges and opportunities through a system of organized feedback. With combined brain power and gentle guidance, the group uncovers a path forward.
If you’re interested in exercising your know-how or could you use a little outside perspective to take your project to the next level, give Tess a holler through email to discuss where you can contribute: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Tess is an avid globe trotter, with a journey to Tibet being a highlight. This ambitious undertaking was to research and write “Dear Chinese Government,” a young adult novel set in Tibet and influenced by true events surrounding the People’s Republic of China’s Tibetan control. Tess is also a trained Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) in Kane County.
Growing up in the Chicago suburbs, Tess had never been to Geneva until she met Lawrence Colburn of Preservation Bread and Wine & Atlas Chicken Shack. Besides her duties at 25N, she helps her significant other operate his two Geneva restaurants and tutors teenagers in a myriad of subjects.
